The Covid-19 Pandemic has shown us that there are major discrepancies in our healthcare system and our economy. As Americans, we are taught to be self-reliant, perseverant and hard working but working people are disproportionately impacted by the virus whether that be getting sick, losing jobs or facing economic hardship. While this time has been tough for all of us, working people and the most vulnerable among us are paying the highest price. This crisis has shown that we need elected leaders that will stand with us in the 91st District and fight for us in Lansing.
The crisis we're facing has already had a major impact on our economy. Brian believes our economy will become much more localized as we recover. We will need to depend on our neighbors, not Washington. Our focus must be on working people, small businesses and local farms. Brian wants to end corporate hand-outs and the welfare system for billionaires.
Working people need better access to quality health care. People can't worry about hospital bills more than their own health. We must ensure that our health care providers are well equipped and accessible.
As a graduate of the public school system, Brian knows the quality of a public education when leaders in the community stand behind teachers and students. The lessons learned throughout school provide the foundation for students to become well-informed and involved citizens in our community.
Our natural resources define who we are. The beauty of West Michigan is unmatched anywhere. The health of our environment must be vigorously protected.
